Event: This evening, a panel of popular romance authors, members of the South Florida chapter of the Romance Writers of America, celebrate the genre with a discussion and booksigning entitled “These Aren't Your Mother's Romance Novels.” Authors Cynthia Thomason, author of Return of the Wild Son (Harlequin) and Gabriel’s Angel (Medallion Press), Linda Conrad, author of Safe With A Stranger (Silhouette Romanic Suspense), Lyn Armstrong, author of The Last Celtic Witch (Resplendence Publishing) and The Celtic Witch and The Sorcerer (Resplendence Publishing), Traci E. Hall, author of Love’s Magic (Medallion Press), and Patrice Wilton, author of Replacing Barnie (Wings EPress) will discuss romance novel writing – what defines a romance novel, history, subgenres, plotting the story, developing characters and pace – followed by an audience question and answer period. Wine and cheese will be available during the presentation.
